Henry shows one to one corresponence by counting stripes. Sitting next to him on the floor, I heard him say "1,2,3,4...." as he pointed to each line. He continued, "...10, 11, 12long pause 11 again, 12 again" LOL!
I love when Jordan just randomly does something I feel like we haven't really taught him. It's so much fun. The other day we were playing hide and seek and when it was his turn to count he said, "Ready or not, here I come!" without even needing to be prompted. So sweet.
Choosing to have my children solo after years spent dreaming of a family is life-altering to say the least. Reality as a single mother of two sons is messier, more difficult and infinitely more wonderful than I imagined. The title of my blog comes from the song, Hats! by Amy Grant.
